2010 EQUIPMENT AUDITS – Saturday, August 28, 12 noon; Saturday & Sunday, September 4 & 5, 10.30am
The 2010-2011 Sailing Season commences on Wednesday, October 6. All boat owners who intend to race in organised club races are required to comply with the Yachting Australia Special Regulations and NSW Maritime Equipment Regulations. Boat owners can download the Category 7 form from the YNSW web site at www.yachtingnsw.com.au  It is the owner’s responsibility to read the form and ensure that the boat complies with the YA Special Regulations 2009-2013 Equipment List before the audit date. Please also include your YNSW membership number on the form.

The Equipment Auditor will issue the NSW Maritime Authority Sticker on the day of the audit, which must be attached to the stern of the boat.  Equipment Auditors are not safety inspectors and are accredited to only carry out equipment audits. It is the boat owner’s responsibility to ensure that the boat complies in every respect with the YNSW Special Regulations and NSW Maritime Equipment Regulations.

Boats may be booked in for an equipment audit at the RPEYC on Saturday, August 28 from 12 noon or on Saturday, September 4 and Sunday, September 5 from 10.30am. Please arrange a time with Richard Treweeke (Equipment Auditor) on 0409 139 032 or register with Erwin on 9327 3149. Please be punctual for your audit as Richard is working on a voluntary basis and will have a very tight schedule.

RUGBY – WALLABIES vs ALL BLACKS
The final Rugby game on the big screen at the Club will be on Saturday, September 11 at 8pm and will feature the Qantas Wallabies versus the All Blacks. “Footy” food will be available.

GANTRY
The re-engineered gantry for The Duffy and the club RIB has been installed and is much stronger and safer than the old equipment. There are two complementary hoist controls – one remote and one pendant – and the Boatshed Committee is determining the best way to regulate the use of the controls.
Members wishing to use The Duffy should check with Jon Simonds (0418 207 320) on the whereabouts of the remote control and its application.
